So um. I'm good at disappearing and then suddenly reappearing.

Anyway.

I'm not used to CG-ing anymore and everything I do seems to be coming out worse and worse. xDD Totally not cool. And I've been told my style (and I use that term loosely) is really generic. Which it is. Because I'm not really looking to stand out among the crowd of anime artists with REAL talent; I'm just having fun. If they can make a few bucks or a successful career off it, then great, more power to them. But seeing as I'm not looking to sell and they're not looking to buy, then I don't see any problem.

Anyway.

My parents aren't supporting my being an artist anymore either, not even in my free time (not that I have any anymore anyway). xD I'm not allowed to take Studio art classes next year =/ I don't like drawing realism in my free time, but I love it when I have to for class, which, surprisingly, garners more praise than everything else I've drawn. I don't want to be an artist; it's just something I enjoy doing. And it's not like I'm going to stop, so, you know, whatever. Parents are silly like that~

Anyway.

I'm not even majoring in art when I get to college. English, 'sup. Maybe a minor in art or creative writing, but we'll see.

Okay. I totally suck. Well, actually, no. Plane Geometry sucks. Why I chose to voluntarily immerse myself in my most-hated school subject for acceleration purposes I don't even need is COMPLETELY BEYOND ME.

But because of it, it's caused my soul to die and float away on those little cartoon wings. It's kind of depressing, actually. I've asked just about every one of my friends to please bash my head against any hard surface (repeatedly if needed) so I could get a concussion and go home. But no.

As a result, I've now been sapped of every sort of creativity that has ever been granted to me. I can't draw, I can't write, and I basically need to get away from it all. So I'm taking a brief hiatus (not that I've been on much anyway) 'till school ends in like two and a half weeks. In the meantime, I'll be trying my very hardest to finish that Sync/Anise giftart I promised and temporarily rejoining Gaia to assist in regaining her Nitemare Scarf, if she'll still have me. ;3

Oh yeah. Here's the full commentary to the timeline. It's kind of...long. DDx I like to talk, what can I say? xD

October 2003 - My good ol' Neopets days. 8DD Of course, I was...what, ten, then? The ugliness is understandable, I suppose, but. Urgh. I still love you, Moon, even if I forgot the password to my Neopets account like a gazillion months ago. Anyway, if you deign to go to my old dA account, you can view all the suckage for yourself. ;D

November 2003 - ...Oh my. I'm not sure whether I should laugh or cry...poor Gale. What became of her, I have no idea, but she was one of my most favorite Harry Potter Past RP characters. Poor girl had a crush on one of the Marauders...I can't remember who, but it's just as well. xD

February 2004 - AND SO IT BEGINS. Hah hah~three years and I still haven't made enough leeway with Photoshop. The worst thing about it is that you can still tell I drew that. My mom even laughed at me. DD8

April 2004 - This, even despite all its mistakes, remains one of my all-time-favorite pieces. For one thing, it's Sea, my first peophin on the old Sea_princess_155 account. I managed to get a hold of a Striped paintbrush (I still don't know how that happened), which was like an absolute dream come true for me [since the Island Paintbrush for Moon afterwards never exactly came to full fruitation]. And also...this was all on one layer. Because I did not figure out that layers existed until 2005. So it also has great sentimental value to me.

April 2004 - Two pieces for April just so we can take a look at the contrast. xD I evidently had Peophins on the mind at all times, especially since this was for an art project. I obviously had a much steadier hand on paper than on the computer, though the lines are just horrendous. -shudder- The shape of the head, however, is much improved. ...and my mother just laughed at me again. T-T

June 2004 - In which I show off my adept skills at using the Paint Bucket. Somewhere in between I learned how to use layers.

September 2004 - AUGH. NO. JUST NO. ANNIE IS NOT TO UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES RECALL BAD MEMORIES ABOUT EX-BOYFRIEND. ASDFGHJKL; NO. ...In other news, I finally learned that hair is not equivalent to a fat flag flying in the wind. Sorta.

October 2004 - Uh yeah...so I went through this phase where I was having a facial-crisis. Poor Kairi. Dx

May 2005 - ...And hark we fast-forward to May since I evidently took a five-month hiatus to pursue a little thing called life. xD Anyway...I did at one point attempt to draw a manga. Obviously it was a failure since I got to a grand total of two pages done before I scrapped it. I still have the idea, though. It would prolly make a good video game (you can call me anytime, Square Enix). I would totally fangirl over Otaka-sensei, too, if he didn't like, die on the never-drawn third page (though I suppose that never stopped Yondy xD).

July 2005 - And here we reach the end of our Sea_Princess_155 account. It is only fitting, of course, to use the last piece I uploaded to said account. True, she has Betty-Spaghetti legs (does anyone actually remember that? xD) but the rest of her anatomy is...sound enough. Maybe. Well, it's definitely getting better. -satisfied nod-

December 2005 - Woah. Another timeskip. 8DD First upload on this account~this is another one I like because of my airbrush phase on Photoshop that lasted...oh, about a month. xD At least you can see that my faces finally have some semblance of a face. -nodnod-

February 2006 - I've never learned to draw guys. xD This was a rather bizarre request from childhood friend's older brother, who I also grew up with. I will probably never draw something this...well, like this, ever again. I still harbor a fondness for him, though. 8DD

May 2006 - I'm skipping April because there weren't any pieces worth showing. May, however, was a good month for me. So we get two of them. 8DD First one's the first remotely-equine thing since...about two years ago. xD I can't say if it's any better, though. Laura and Mike get the second May-space. I love Laura ahelluva lot more than Mike. I love her even more with Corey. xD But this one got over a hundred views in a day because everyone at school told everyone else about it and the whole eighth-grade class decided to go and take a look-see. But yeah. I'm sorta proud of this pic because why hay look! There's more than one person in it~!

June 2006 - ...I drew a lot in June, but I really think this was the turning point for me. Just...everything (except for the hair) actually looks like what it's supposed to look like. xD This is when I discovered the merits of cell-shading and I'm really glad I did.

July 2006 - My very-very favorite commission out of all the ones I've done for Gaia. I still feel bad about the ones I never got to finish, but after I was hacked, it was just too much. >_>;; Anyway, I really enjoyed doing this piece, especially since it was for and her pirate avvie kicked ass.

February 2007 - I'm evidently only capable of drawing Laura and her boyfriends. A Valentines' Day card.

Artist's block at the worst time possible.

Gaia account got hacked. Everything gone. Now I'm not even sure I want to return. -stare-

Merry Christmas to me. Two days late.
